SENIOR CLAIMS OFFICERS (Auto/Motor Claims- 2 Positions)


Main responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Claims Department, the Senior Claims Officer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze Auto/Motor claims based on the facts and the Cambodia Road Traffic Law to determine the extent of Insurer’s liability; 
  • Provide guidance to Claims Surveyors on how to settle the claims at the site;
  • Examine the claim documents prepared by the Claims Officers and submit them for approval from the Head of Claims Department;
  • Communicate with all relevant parties including the Account Handlers, Agents, Brokers, or clients to facilitate the claim settlement process;
  • Contribute to and assist in the implementation of a wide range of initiatives, strategies and action plans brought forth by the Head of Claims Department;
  • Attend the meeting with clients, third parties and other legal proceedings; and
  • Perform other administrative work, if necessary.

Requirements:

  • Master degree in Law or any related fields
  • Possess at least 2-year working experiences in claims handling or other related fields
  • Have strong knowledge in Cambodia Road Traffic Law
  • Have good command in English language and Chinese/another language
  • Have strong understanding of claims handling – has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job;
  • Intelligent – is bright and can deal with concepts and complexity comfortably;
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to understand metrics and analyze data;
  • Solid listening skills;
  • Customer focus – is dedicated to meeting expectation and requirements of the customer; establishes and maintains effective relationships and gains trust and respect;
  • Able to work well under pressure;
  • Able to negotiate and manage expectations effectively;
  • Strong communication – ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization in-person, on-phone, with-video, and on-paper [written-word];
  • Strong problem solving skills;
  • Proactive rather than reactive;
  • Team Problem Solving – Effectively uses the capability of the team to solve problems and satisfy customers;
  • Good computer skills (Ms. Office, internet and email etc.)
