ថ្ងៃបុណ្យវិសាកបូជា គឺជាថ្ងៃដ៏សំខាន់នៅក្នុងសាសនាព្រះពុទ្ធ ដែលតែងតែប្រារព្ធធ្វើឡើងជារៀងរាល់ឆ្នាំ១៥កើត​ខែពិសាកតាមចន្ទគតិ ត្រូវនឹងខែឧសភាតាមសូរយគតិ។ វាជាថ្ងៃដ៏អស្ចារ្យមួយដែលព្រះសម្មាសម្ពុទ្ធទ្រង់បាន ប្រសូត្រ ត្រាស់ដឹង និង ចូលនិព្វាន។

ថ្ងៃបុណ្យរបស់ព្រះពុទ្ធសាសនាមិនល្បីដូចបុណ្យគេទេ នៅក្នុងរាជធានីភ្នំពេញ ព្រោះយុវវ័យភាគច្រើនគេរៀនភាសាបរទេសច្រើនជាងភាសាខ្មែរ ដូចនេះហើយគេប្រាកដជា​សម្របខ្លួនទៅតាមវប្បធម៍បរទេសដែលគេបានរៀនហើយ។

ដោយប្រទេសខ្មែរយើងកាន់ព្រះពុទ្ធសាសនា ដែលជាសាសនារបស់រដ្ឋ រដ្ឋាភិបាលបានដាក់ថ្ងៃនេះជាថ្ងៃឈប់សម្រាក។ ហើយនៅថ្ងៃនេះដែរ ពុទ្ធបរិស័តតែងតែធ្វើចង្ហាន់ទៅវត្តប្រគេនដល់ព្រះសង្ឃ បង្សកូលឧទ្ទិសដល់ព្រះពុទ្ធដើម្បីសុំសេចក្តីសុខ៕

Visak Bochea Day is the most holiest day in Buddhism celebrations. God Buddha was born, attained enlightenment, and passed away in the same full moon day of the 6th month of Lunar calendar (normally in May).

In Phnom Penh, most teenagers don't care about and it is not famous as another religion festival day such Halloween Day because they mostly study foreign language in their academy, so they are easy to adapt to the western culture.  

Cambodia is holding Buddhas as a nation religion, government is set Visak Bochea Day as a national holiday, all public sectors are closed, though some private sectors might be working. On that day, Buddhist bringing foods to the monks in their village pagodas and praying for happiness.
